Leeds Wedding Photographer
Being a Leeds wedding photographer means working in one of the most versatile cities in the North of England. The city offers a mix of grand civic architecture, industrial heritage, waterfront developments, and nearby countryside, all within a short drive or even walk of each other.
Great photo locations in Leeds
In Leeds we are spoilt for great photo locations. Including, Civic Hall, The Calls, Kirkstall Abby, the arcades, loads of colourful murals, Leeds Dock and fantastic inner City venues. You also have greener options such as Temple Newsman and Roundhey park etc. Why not have a bit of both with urban chic mixed with nature.

Photography on the Calls
The Me & You mural on The Calls has become a classic wedding photography portrait stop location. Its bold typography and riverside setting make it ideal for relaxed, personality-filled couple shots.
Leeds Town Hall
One of the most popular ceremony locations is Leeds Town Hall. Its grand stone entrance and wide steps are perfect for confetti photos and large group shots. Inside, the sweeping staircases and ornate detailing create elegant portrait opportunities, especially when side light pours in through tall windows. Because it’s centrally located, we can quickly move couples into quieter nearby streets for relaxed city portraits without losing too much time from your day.

Kirkstall Abbey
For couples who want something a little different, Kirkstall Abbey is ideal. The mix of history and open green space gives you loads of variety in a short amount of time. You can keep it relaxed and natural while still getting those epic-looking backdrops. It’s also a quick car ride away from the centre!
The Faversham
The Faversham is a great location as a Leeds Wedding photographer. It’s a great all in one wedding venue for your whole day or as a reception venue after church. It has many different spaces including including a light and airy conservatory. There are many more great inter city locations for your wedding like the Shears Yard and Aspire.

Just outside the city, venues such as Temple Newsam offer both historic interiors and expansive parkland. The long tree lined drive makes for dramatic arrival shots, while open fields provide space for relaxed, natural portraits. There are so many more locations making it a pleasure doing Leeds wedding photography.

There is a real abundance of backdrops which add a great pop of colour to your pre wed and wedding images.
In general, photographing weddings in Leeds requires preparation and adaptability. Light changes dramatically but understanding this really helps to get the most out of things for my wedding couples.
A lot of photo opportunities
Ultimately, Leeds offers an exceptional range of photographic opportunities within a compact area. Whether couples prefer classic elegance, urban edge, or countryside romance, the city provides settings to suit every style. A good Leeds wedding photographer not only understands the venues but also knows the best photo points, the best times for light, and how to create calm, natural moments in the middle of a busy wedding day.
As a photographer I work in and around the Leeds and Yorkshire area. My style is relaxed candids with a splash of great portraits. I promise I will don’t make things too cringe or say cheese at any moment. Go and enjoy your wedding day and I will tell your story! If you would like to hear more about me click here.
