The Fleece Countryside Inn Wedding Photographer
I was thrilled when I was asked to be the Fleece countryside inn wedding photographer. A great venue for those wanting a relaxed pub atmosphere in a great setting. Nestled into the hills of the stunning Ryburn Valley and really close to the Yorkshire village of Ripponden. It really was a great backdrop to Sarah & Jack’s wedding day.
It really is a beautiful and picturesque area! The pub garden and upper balcony have fantastic views of Calder Valley. A perfect setting for your guests to relax and have a drink. Not forgetting a great background for wedding photography at the Fleece Inn. We were lucky enough to have a perfect golden hour photography backdrop with the most beautiful complimentary light. Golden hour is an absolute wedding must for getting those great pictures at the end of the day. The back of the Fleece Inn is an absolute sun trap for this. Great for photos of the stunning hills of the Ryburn Valley with an abundance of sheep in the field behind the pub.
Relaxed photography, for your relaxed wedding day
The ceremony room has an abundance of light which can sometimes be a rarity with such an old Inn with this much character. No complaints about working at the Fleece as a wedding photographer. We utilised the front of the Inn which was covered in red Ivy. There is a really great arch that we took photos under for the family formals, with the sun being in the perfect place.
Sarah & Jack were kind enough to leave me a great 5-star review…
I can’t thank David enough for the amazing job he did with our wedding photos! When I first saw David’s portfolio I knew he was the photographer for us, I loved the natural documentary style of his photography for our big day. We had a pre-wedding shoot as part of our package which I would recommend as it definitely helped us to get to know each other. On the wedding day, he was non-stop! Our guests commented on how hard he worked all day and I’m so pleased with the way our photos turned out. When they came through there were so many natural photos of the day and moments that I didn’t even realise David was there to capture. Thank you so much David!

A bit more about the Fleece Inn
This Grade-II listed Inn is only 7.5 miles from our cherished Peak District National Park in West Yorkshire. It’s got lots of rustic charm with its stone walls, solid oak floors and wooden beams. A perfect wedding venue if you are searching for that old pub with a quintessential Yorkshire feel, in amazing surroundings. It can also accommodate up to 110 people for your wedding day if you’re going big. Also lending itself to more cosy engagements with more of an intermate and smaller crowds. You can even have more of a humanist ceremony here, if you don’t feel like going to a church earlier. With it being registered for civil ceremonies and blessings you can do everything in one place without needing to travel. There is plenty of space to add your own stamp and style that represents your personality’s.
Everything within the one place
There is no need to get ready at home in the morning when you can use the on-location suite. In total the Fleece haven 7 onsite on-suite rooms. It even comes with its own cast iron bath which you may have noticed in the pictures. Sarah and her bridesmaids decided to have a Champaign toast while sitting inside it. Why not!?
