The Venue Bowers Mill Photos
Wedding photos at The Venue Bowers Mill
The Venue Bowers Mill photos are so easy at such a stunning venue. I’m blown away by the charm of Bowers Mill . Everywhere I pointed my camera I had a good backdrop for photos, as it has so much character. At the same time being a great venue to dress and add your own style and influences. A great place to tell stories of love, happiness and celebration. As you can see by these images it fits into a fantastic rustic feel with warmth and a really relaxed atmosphere. The Venue Bowers really is a photographer’s dream.
Bowes Mill Halifax is a historic gem with a very visible history on its walls. Once a textile Mill which heritage and history have been preserved spectacularly. The first image is of the wall with the old Mill shuttles used in the cotton weaving process. Added with some stunning black and white photographs of the history. The Venue at Bowers Mill has really encapsulated this history and put it on display to stunning effect.
I was lucky enough to shoot a wedding here at the venue but there are a multitude of events that can be held here. The mix of natural and industrial materials makes a really stunning backdrop for photography.
Industrial feel with loads of character
For photos, you have a lot of different options and vibes. The mill is surrounded by other industrial buildings and businesses giving that industrial feel to your images. It looks great for late-evening flash portraits a bit later on. You can also take advantage of the lake close by and the rolling hills of the Calderdale Countryside. Adding some green and foliage to your wedding photos. Due to it being a Mill in the past, it’s also in close proximity to a river running past it.

The Venue has great industrial spaces
If it happens to be raining it’s no problem at all for your photos at Bowers Mill as you can take advantage of that inside industrial space. Great backdrops of exposed brick & wooden beams. Flooded with lots of great natural light from the many large windows and abundance of skylights. High ceilings give you the feel of space and openness. It’s dark at night which lends itself very well to the dance floor and party. As you can see the venue Bowers Mill photos are effortless in such a timeless and stunning building.
