Asylum Chapel Peckham and the Peasant in Clerkenwell Wedding
Asylum chapel London wedding photography was definitely on the bucket list to shoot at for a long time. Followed by the Peasant in Clerkenwell, one of my favourite London pub’s for a reception. The perfect combination.
Stephanie and Roberts wedding was a really great day start to finish. They seemed to be really great together with fantastic energy. Stephanie’s dress suited her style really well especially with the backdrop of the Asylum chapel. They decorated the chapel and pub really tastefully with flowers in a array of pastel colours.
The Asylum chapel is a grade ll listed building that has been graded between 1827 and 1833. Hearing the name ‘Asylum’ makes you think this was a home for lunatics. In fact it was actually a retirement home for old pub landlords. During the second world war it was bombed but surprisingly leaving the stained glass windows intact. The building has so much age and character making it the perfect backdrop for a wedding.
